Igbinedion University Post UTME/DE Admission Screening 2020/2021

The Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State Board has extended the deadline for registration for the online admission application for the 2020/2021 academic session. Therefore, the prospective undergraduates of the university are hereby informed of the new development.

According to the management, the new deadline is now 28th February 2021. Candidates who are yet to register or complete the registration are advised to make good use this opportunity to do so as time may be running out.

Morealso, candidates who are interested have been advised to make sure they have a valid email account before begining the application process.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for first year and direct entry (DE) admissions into the University's undergraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session.

General Entry Requirement for Igbinedion University Post UTME

1. In order to be qualified for admission into the four-year courses and five or six-year professional programmes, candidates must have a minimum of five credits at the GCE/WAEC, SSCE/NECO, or SSCE/NABTEB certificate examinations, of which English Language and Mathematics must be included and in not more than two sittings.
In addition, candidates applying for Law must have at least a credit pass in Literature in English. Candidates awaiting GCE/NECO SSCE/WAEC SSCE/NABTEB results are also advised to apply so long the results would be available by September when the new session commences.

2. Candidates may also applying for admission into the 200 level of the degree programmes with the following qualifications:
    i. Pass in at least two subjects at Advanced level and an additional subject at the subsidiary level in the General Certificate of Education Examination. The subjects must make up a suitable preliminary to the intended courses.
   
    ii. Diploma/NCE at credit level pass and above in the appropriate subjects from a recognized institution.
    
    iii. IJMB in the appropriate subjects.
   
    iv.  First Degree in relevant discipline.
   
     v.  Above all, candidates must also satisfy the requirements for matriculation: five credit passes at the GCE/WAEC SSCE/NECO SSCE/NABTEB Certificate examinations.

Candidate are expected to provide evidence of application to JAMB.

UTME Requirement: Applicants are expected to sit for UTME and obtain the prescribed cut-off marks. This is a major requirement for entry into Nigerian universities.

Age: Candidates who have exceeded 22 years of age are not eligible for admission. Such candidates may be admitted under exceptional circumstances.

How to Apply for Igbinedion University Post UTME Form:

The application procedure are stated below:
It is advisable for candidates to have a valid e-mail account before commencing the application process.

1. Click on the Registration portal HERE for to begin.

2. Enter your First name; Middle name; and Surname along with your Email Address and Phone Number.
Your ID and Password will be sent to your email Immediately, Click on the Link in your email to continue

3. Back On waeup.org click on ‘Login’ (top right of the front page).

4. Enter your username and the password to login.

5. To begin the application process, please click on ‘Application record’

6. Provide all required information and upload your passport photograph. Make sure Upload a Recent and clear 1” x 1” COLOURED passport photograph. Please NOTE that the uploaded photograph will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the Igbinedion University, Okada.

7. To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “Pay with…” Interswitch or Etransact on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee with a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria to Pay with Interswitch or print out the payment ticket and proceed to the bank of choice to pay with Etransact.

8. Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online.

NOTE:

i. Intending Students must have the required WASC/GCE/NECO credits (Advanced level passes/first degrees for direct entry), and must be registered with JAMB, and also pass the UTME.

ii. More information on application instructions is available on our online application portal @ http://www.iuokada.edu.ng/admissions.php.

iii. After completion of your admission form online, you will choose your preferred screening centre. Your screening date will also be indicated on your acknowledgement slip upon completion of the admission process.

v. Candidates who choose Igbinedion University, Okada as their first and second choice JAMB (UMTE) should also attend the screening exercise.

The date for the Post UME screening will be communicated in due time.
